June Book Club Report

I heard the Owl call my Name by Margaret Craven.

Comments as follows: Enjoyed reading more the second time around; vivid descriptions especially of the seasons; partly a story of a ancient culture in a changing world, keeping or losing the youth, some make the  transition some do not; partly the story of a dying young priest, whose diagnosis is unknown to him, who is sent by his Bishop to live and work with the tribe; in doing so he understands their worth and his imminent death and is content to live and to die with them; rather a beautiful book.
